I doubt they even know themselves how to solve these problems. If you deleted that file there is no way to get it back. Or once you have the clip you can import it manually by finding the correct g-metrix file on your camera.
For g-metrix you have to Import clips into Virb Edit. Add GPS and sensor data to your videos Telemetry Overlay. If you copy & paste the clip into the editor that will give you the audio & video but not g-metrix. The guys at Garmin have completely ignored the possibility not only of situations like yours, where a user migrates to a new computer, but also those users who might be running out of hard drive space and want to archive old footage (and data, of course!) to another location (eg external hard drive), or who might use 2 computers (eg one at home, and one at work) to download and process videos and who might want to transfer data between them. Telemetry Overlay does what Virb Edit used to do but supports a myriad of modern data formats and devices, including GoPro, Insta360, DJI, Garmin (both FIT files and CSV files from aviation instruments), GPX files from endless data loggers, and many more. I'm assuming you have only 1 hard drive, with your OS, applications and data on it?
